Phrase Search -- (or “starting with…” searching) is an alternative to Keyword searching and the "phrase" entered will result in an exact match, or you must have an asterisk * at the END of the search term to broaden the search term. It is applicable to Titles, Author, Subject and Series searches only. Click on the “Enable Phrase Searching” checkbox to switch from Keyword to Phrase searching
Anyword Index -- will retrieve records with the term enetered matching Title, Subject, Series, Author and Notes fields
Author/Name Index -- will retrieve records with the term entered matching personal, corporate authors, or both
Title Index -- will retrieve records with the term entered matching ANY part of their Title, Sub-Title or Additional Title. If the "Phrase Search" option is being used, the Title search will retrieve all records that start with the entered search term.
Subject Index -- will retrieve records with the term entered matching the subject entry in a catalogue record
Series Index -- will retrieve records with the term entered matching the series entry in a catalogue record
Browse index -- Provides a list of entries that match your search term.
