Summary
Charles Bronson plays rancher Ben Justin who has recently arrived in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. He is informed by ranch hands Trampas and Randy that he has violated the rules of the Stockman's Association. Conditioned by a life of hard knocks to neither trust nor listen to anyone but himself, the hard-drinking Ben tells Trampas and Randy to mind their own business. Another rancher, Suchette, is so incensed by his attitude that he makes certain Ben's cattle will not be allowed access to the railroads. Ben isolates himself, his fury building further when he is convinced that his wife is having an affair.
